For this course you will need:

* Design Journal

* Digital camera/cell phone

* Colored pencils or markers

* Whiteboard Marker

* At least 2 pens that cost at least $2 each

* One creativity icon -  constraints: must fit into a backpack easily; maximum cost: $3

What is a creativity icon?

A creativity icon is anything that can inspire a classmate to think beyond our usual patterns. We can look at this thing or hold it to remind ourselves that it is okay to be inventive, whimsical, or just plain silly and that changing our perspective slighlty can help us generate valuable approaches and ideas.  

Everyone will bring a creativity icon to class on April 11 - We'll put them in a bag and each of us will pull one out that we can keep with us throughout the quarter> Think 'grab bag' activity

This can be anything, anything that YOU think would help SOMEONE ELSE free themselves of their own regular processes of problem solving.  Some examples are: children's games, silly putty, funny postcards, seeds, novelty key chains, party tricks, homemade picture, stickers, light bulb,.
